Is it OK to have a 24 amp e18S-3 kiln on a 50 amp circuit?

  1. This is fine to do if you are careful.
  2. The only concern would be if you put the wrong elements in the kiln, or connected them to power incorrectly when you replace them.
  3. If this happened, you would most likely ruin the inside of the kiln and possibly start a fire in the kiln's control box. This is because your circuit breaker and the copper wires to the outlet can accommodate a lot more power than the kiln wiring and components are designed to handle.
